Workshop – 11. April: Bela Gliss at SchneidersLaden

Small, sleek and extremely versatile – the Gliss from Bela has already been a highlight for us at SUPERBOOTH23. Next week, Astrid and Mark from Bela will be coming along to show us what you can do with this little all-rounder. Astrid will begin by establishing the context of the instrument and taking us through the modes, then Mark will show what can be done with Gliss in a musical context. You are of course very welcome to join us! We are looking forward to it!

Bela Gliss Workshop at SchneidersLaden, Kottbusser Tor – 11. April / 7pm / free / no registration required

Gliss is a 4 HP Eurorack module using a recordable touch sensor to introduce gestural control into modular systems.

Gliss simultaneously produces two high-resolution signals: one following your finger’s position, the other following touch size. These signals are available via two CV outputs, offering two distinct but related dimensions of control to route around your system.

Gestures can be recorded for up to 75 seconds and then can be looped, triggered or clocked, facilitating everything from touch-controlled, long-form modulation signals, to custom LFOs, envelopes and oscillators. This is an incredibly useful tool that allows users to create exactly the modulation they’ve imagined for a certain parameter in real time, rather than delicately fine-tuning a patch of different modulation sources.

Address: Skalitzer Straße 135a, 10999 Berlin – at Kottbusser Tor – find our doorbell in the entrance area of REWE!
