Grey sky is a good motivation to start a new indoor theme: If you want to learn more about modular stuff or electronic music participate in workshops: Apart from our constantly ongoing workshop every afternoon in kreuzberg there are some in London, next one on 29th this month.
Also on June, 29th there will be one in Berlin with Tom Körting who will teach you making weird sounds on our bigger system on an event in ..Friedrichshain (?). Another bigger system will be show on that DJ-meeting in Dortmund, Westfalenhalle (?), so there are possibilities enough these days.
we will keep you informed with details here about a week before the dates (!).
.. btw .. if you really want to go deeper with soldering things yourselves, Befaco is offering meetings for such in Berlin sometimes, please check their site.
.. well known for analogue synthesizers, modular systems and/or innovative production tools for electronic sounds and music here and there .. SCHNEIDERSLADEN from Berlin, Germany will now open a very little showroom in London, UK:
There will be few rare highlights of modern synthesizers and sound machines available from stock, modular systems can be seen, heard and touched in a `testsalon`
on appointment.
The grand opening will be celebrated on Sunday 10/10/10 with a very first session in the testsalon, that should be recorded to vinyl live. Around 2pm there will be ‘Navs modular Lab’ performing live on stage, followed by Zimbo from Berlin locally well known as (Mr.) Schulz und Söhne.
The whole staff of SchneidersBuero, some Inventors and Clients will be in the house til 5pm or so.
The Hertz Donut by TheHarvestman has been shipped in limited numbers shortly ago and it seems, that the inventor has the idea to make it even better. A firmware could be loaded in at the factory one day but the units have to be returned for that. SchneidersBuero will handle such an operation as usual for their clients without any extra costs. Thank you, Nav for giving me this hint.
.. modules and 12tone scales seems to be en vogue again: There is one manufacturer thinking about his release of a better quantizer/arpeggiator that will probably happen within this year. If you are interested to start with existing possibilities, please check Doepfers A-156, reviewed now by our friend Nav on his forum clic here!
The Z2040 by tiptopaudio is the latest entry out of four different filters from small american manufacturers. After the Bubblesound SEM20 there has been the two first releases for the system called Borgfilter and Boogiefilter by Malekkoheavyindustries. After the first review on Navs modular Lab the Z2040 will be still tuned a bit that finally it could make the race. Please feel free to compare them yourself and visit us or just buy them all 🙂 !
the Livewire AFG and the Cwejman VCO6 are two of the better Oscillators in the same price range. They have been compared by our client and friend Navroz finding out that they are quite comparable (!=?).. so I mean check it out yourselves, touch it and listen if you can. Unfortunately the AFG is the only one available from stock in that range at the time.
..has also been tested by our dear friend Navroz but unfortunately Mister Cwejman is not able to ship .. nothing. So .. you better go for boogie and borg?
..visiting our new showroom and testing the dual Cwejman Filter DMF-2 as an option to expand his existing system. Even if this module has not been his choise it could be the one for you. To find it out his report will probably help.
In Navs modular Lab you can also find many other reviews and sujective opinions on the products we are busy with dealing them in and out to whom it may concern. Please feel free to give us your input, too.
