Nonlinear Labs @SUPERBOOTH17 – Dietrich Pank and the C15

Something special for the Keyboard fans -> watch Dietrich Pank playing a very special Synthesizer designed by Native Instruments founder Stephan Schmitt- the Nonlinear Labs C 15. At Superbooth more and more keyboards synthesizers and other keyboard instruments are present, and for Nonlinear Labs SUPERBOOTH18 will be the third appearance.

The C 15 is a unique instrument, designed for playability and detailed sound editing. Lots of expression can be transferred to a life performance. This is an instrument designed to be played on by hand and on stage!

Nonlinear Labs will be present at SUPERBOOTH18 again – at booth number H416, so come by and get your hands on a C15!

Hear, see and feel the C 15 in the video below! And also find the Gesprächskonzert from SUPERBOOTH17 in this video, from the C 15 and additionally from Haken Continuum.

Source_of_Eurorackunder this banner .. 🙂

On NAMM16 we show the Doepfer presentation and many other european brands making EUROrack modulars and other stuff.
Our stand # 5014 is also the meeting point for people of the SUPERBOOTH, Schneidersladen and the ALEX4 distribution company. Tegeler Audio Manufaktur is with us and (the american) Dr. Lippold Haken: he declared his german roots to be accepted as a foreigner with us. But as you probably know, the germans are quite friendly with foreigners so, visit us, youre welcome.

Musikmesse Frankfurt

NAMM_Buchla_Easle-editorThis week the Musikmesse in Frankfurt will open the doors again. After it is mainly a business event where retailers meet their distributors for violins and humba bumba taeteraeae .. a SUPERBOOTH as known from SchneidersBuero years ago will not happen again in 2014. Instead of this there will be a presentation of the ALEX4 distribution that is realizing sales with interested and hopefully competent retail businesses all over europe.
ALEX4 is working for Doepfer, Buchla, MFB, and others mostly based in europe themselves .. theres a few interesting new entries such as KOMA elektronik and Verbos electronics. Buchla promised to show their W-Lan connection for the Music Easel (see pic) on Thursday and Friday at least, Marc Verbos will introduce his completely new modular series all days, Ken Macbeth will show up with some prototypes on Friday and Koma will show you how to party with smart pedals all days, too. Following good traditions there will be good drinks for good buyers.

Musikmesse videos ..

IMG_2878Looking back to last weeks exhibition of ALEX4 on the musikmesse we collected some links here to give you an impression on what has happened there:
A nice overview of the athmosphere with no comments on this years ALEX4 stand in Frankfurt has been given with this video, that I found on vimeo, thank you.
If you want competent informations about mellotrons or memotrons you should have been talking to klaus (german), who collected all the sounds for manikin electronic, their latest release is “harrys collection” now.
Dieter Doepfer is introducing his news on modular basics and the black MAQ-sequencer starting with his Midi/USB to clock converter modul (AHH!) here in english.
MFB has been presented by Uwe-George Giegler in english on sonicstate, Sebastian Preller gave a short overview of the specials on the Tanzbär and Mister Fricke confirmed the soon delivery in german here.
Edmund Eagan plays on the Haken continuum with sounds designed on the new Eagan Matrix, Dr. Lippold Haken gives a german comment on his production place   .. and finally ..
IMG_2883Max and Max informing you about a new MIDIclock by Erfindungsbuero Rest und Meier here .. and .. then there was a little overview with sonic state and HerrSchneider .. (.. and: sorry no, I did not mean that buchla is hard to service – not at all!).
Unfortunately they all missed to show the Cacophonator noir by Subtle Noise Maker from Vienna.

Eagan Matrix on Haken

continuumsideangThe Haken Continuum Fingerboard has a new firmware now as version 5.1. It includes the  programmable synthesizer in the Continuum Fingerboard, the EaganMatrix.
Edmund Eagan is a good friend of Dr. Lippold Haken and they both was our guests on the last Superbooth during Musikmesse 2011 introducing europe to the possibilities of the Haken continuum in general. Probably they was inspired by all those modular geeks running around there.  Have a look yourselves now, on their site you can find this PDF explaining more.
