Video: Schneidersladen Spezial – concerts by SchneidersLaden in SchneidersLaden

This was a very special event at SchneidersLaden – the SchneidersLaden Spezial concert! Our employees prepared some concerts, live improvisations and performances to show what they are doing besides selling synthesizers.

First of all Jessica and Carlo played a superb set together – with Jessica on the modular and Carlo on MPC, Drumatix, looper and effects.

Second was Phil who showed what he can do with a turntable, a delay and some looping – he’s a magician.

Miquel then presented one of his adventurous modular techno sets – with almost only Verbos modules and an Elektron Rytm.

2244 invited COP to join him on stage for one of their massive and haunting live sets.

It was great fun and there will be a second edition at some point. Hope to see you there! Enjoy the video:

Knobcon in Chicago..

carlo and tony rolandoThe knobcon #3 in Chicago became a major event for the world of modular nerds and makers in the US at least. To support this initiative of our friend Suit and Tie Guy and others three members of SchneidersLaden travelled to the states over the weekend now to say hello and have a good time there. If you are around say hello to Carlo, Philip and Sebastian Baumann.

Hi Folks
Who might wonder what kinda music we did .

Sanjin from Allt för musik made a little podcast about the early days from KRUBURN around 2004
with James Welburn and Carlo Krug – enjoy the article (yeah its swedish) and have fun listen to the 4 tracks

(fotos from our old studio in the same building like Schneidersbuero at Neues Deutschland)

workshoppic1In 2011 we took our modular stuff mounted up in a Karrussell to the Club Kater Holzig,Berlin for a gig during the Bermuda (Berlin Music days 2011). Carlo Krug, Tom, Paul and HerrSchneider was performing the furniture mixed down on the club PA by Thomas “sternchen” Stern.

This Video
has been made to introduce the gig and the idea of the karrussell. In the end it was not the way as we expected it, but as Tom said in this “part 1“: “Its the nature of an experiment that it may fail” ..what was quite wise. Carlo stated “Less is mostly more”, but HerrSchneider confirmed that “we had some fun”, even after loads of work with it.

The Karrussell will be in use again now: HerrSchneider takes it to some venues and festivals over europe to perform some kind of sound and workshop again:
Vienna, Moozak Festival: 18./19. September
Munich, DigitalAnalog: 11./12. October
and Cologne, Synthesizer days inside Music Store: 15./16. October,
then back home to Berlin.
