Modular Synthesizer Carousel at Error Music Festival

After the Modular Synthesizer Carousel had its last appearance at SUPERBOOTH23, where it was an attraction in the foyer of FEZ Berlin, it will be at ACUD MACHT NEU in Berlin Mitte on Saturday.

The first Error Music Festival for teenagers will feature many exciting hands-on stations and installations, as well as performances and workshops. The idea is to explore the history of electronic music, experiment with different techniques and ins6truments and do all this together with others.

The Modular Synthesizer Carousel was designed by SchneidersLaden to be a collaborative instrument featuring six modular synthesizers, each equipped with a simple yet entertaining set of modules and a set of speakers. At SUPERBOOTH the Carousel was used for three Modular Beginner Workshops. At Error Music Festival the Carousel will be available for you to explore at all times. The project is accompanied by renowned music producers* such as Perera Elsewhere or Colin Self.

The first festival for electronic music & tech festival for teens sets a focus on female* pioneers of electronic music and computing, creating a fascinating experience and time travel.

From very young to 110 years. All are welcome.

Amplify Berlin at Acud Macht Neu – supported by SchneidersLaden

Acud Macht Neu presents: Amplify Berlin – a new residency program to support emerging Berlin-based musicians through mentorships

Amplify Berlin is a new creative development program at ACUD Kunsthaus in Berlin. Starting from September 2018 – Berlin-based emerging musicians will have the chance to be mentored in composition, production and live performance by more established musicians, at Kunsthaus ACUD. From September 2018 to February 2019 there will be different artists working together each month.

During each of these one-month residency periods, two emerging artists receive feedback and advice from their mentor, work in a private music studio, develop their live set in the ACUD Club’s concert space, as well as present an online radio show. Each residency will culminate with a live set they have prepared at a showcase event, on a lineup alongside their mentor.

This first showcase features mentor Caterina Barbieri with mentees Abigail Toll and Maya Shenfeld – the final presentation of this intense process will happen on September 27th with a concert night at Acud Macht Neu starting at 9pm.

Amplify Berlin 01: Caterina Barbieri, Ionian Death Robes, Maya Shenfeld

SAT: Veteranenstrassenfest

When I came to Berlin once, my whole life was just concentrated around Veteranenstrasse in Mitte for a few weeks: There is the ACUD, the Zionskirche and those days there was the wonderful Galerie Radio Berlin. Some of the “Veterans” are still there, so now  Jim Avignon and many others will perform on an event in Berlin Mitte initiated by Mike Riemel, that probably is different to the usual “Berlin Mitte”.

Saturday, September, 3rd, 2pm til late: Heinrich Heine Stage (opposite Veteranenstr. 27), ACUD macht Neu, Playground (Veteranen 18), Zionschurch and around there .. here is some more information about it, enjoy.
