NAMM 2018 – Empress Effects

Empress Effects introduced a digital modular system in pedal format at the NAMM show 2018, the Zoia. Audio, MIDI and CV / gate signals can be flexibly routed to oscillators, several types of filters, modulators, step sequencers and so forth. One of the Empress Effects guys showed us a FM synth patch with four oscillators. Then he switched to another preset and the Zoia started to play the Stranger Things theme song. The pedal’s sound quality is very good. We’re already excited to check the Zoia out in detail.
