This video demo explores the musical capabilities of the E-RM Polygogo, a digital stereo oscillator featuring Polygonal Synthesis, a groundbreaking synthesis technique based on two-dimensional shaping of sine waves.
By changing the number of vertices (Order) and their displacement (Teeth), the fundamental tone and harmonic structure of the sound are created. Rotational modulation (Roll) moves the sound across the stereo field or acts as vibrato, while the internal linear FM operator enriches the spectrum. An analog overflow stage (Fold) at the output adds grit and can act as a wave crusher.
With its "one knob / one function" interface, the Polygogo is equally suited for both live performance and detailed sound design. All parameters are directly accessible via sliders, and every one of them can be modulated through CV inputs, inviting constant play and experimentation.
