Even though this comes at relatively short notice, we encourage you to explore the history of the one of the earliest electronic instruments at the University of the Arts in Berlin on November 23.
The UdK is currently organizing various lectures about the university’s own history. Of course, information about the radio test center (Radioversuchstelle) from the 1930s cannot be missing.
On November 23rd, 2022 there will be an information evening about the radio test center in the UdK and the Trautonium will of course play a very important role. Peter Pichler was therefore invited to present the instrument live and to give a concert in the large concert hall of the UdK.
It is very good to see that the history of this important instrument and the origins of electronic music in and from Berlin are being honored in that way. He plays classical, pop and film music and will explore what is possible with one of the first synthesizers ever made.
Anyone who wants to come is invited. Admission free!
23. November 2022
From approx. 8:30 p.m. – approx. 9:45 p.m
Concert hall of the UdK
Hardenbergstrasse 33
10623 Berlin
There will also be a live-stream, if you can’t make it in person: here
