Acud Macht Neu presents: Amplify Berlin – a new residency program to support emerging Berlin-based musicians through mentorships
Amplify Berlin is a new creative development program at ACUD Kunsthaus in Berlin. Starting from September 2018 – Berlin-based emerging musicians will have the chance to be mentored in composition, production and live performance by more established musicians, at Kunsthaus ACUD. From September 2018 to February 2019 there will be different artists working together each month.
During each of these one-month residency periods, two emerging artists receive feedback and advice from their mentor, work in a private music studio, develop their live set in the ACUD Club’s concert space, as well as present an online radio show. Each residency will culminate with a live set they have prepared at a showcase event, on a lineup alongside their mentor.
This first showcase features mentor Caterina Barbieri with mentees Abigail Toll and Maya Shenfeld – the final presentation of this intense process will happen on September 27th with a concert night at Acud Macht Neu starting at 9pm.
