Evi K. made this video about HerrSchneider giving an update on the current condition of SchneidersLaden. It is a chat in german but there are wonderful pictures giving some impressions on the different goods and products standing around. The video shows the athmosphere of our new showroom at night, nice.
This week HerrSChneider will take the Karussell to Vienna for their Moozak Festival to let you perform the modulars if you can be around. Our old officemate Robert Henke alias Monolake will be playing the support and perform the festival as a concert together with others. Were looking forward meeting you there..
.. for midified rock n rollers, there is a smart pedal on the market now: Koma RH301 is the perfect tool to control, shift and relate clocks in a modular system, combine it with other pedals or desktop things of any kind .. or whatever:
Schneidersladen now has the very first one on demo one week before the official release, youre welcome to play and check it out now.
No, its not about the well known CCC, but there is another happy client now running a modular system including the Chaos Computer, a module by livewire. On his Blog “electricmusicfox” he released a feedback, review and a second try of a manual of this unfortunately very last work of our dear friend Mike Brown, who sadly passed away. So please read this to understand it better now.
In 2011 we took our modular stuff mounted up in a Karrussell to the Club Kater Holzig,Berlin for a gig during the Bermuda (Berlin Music days 2011). Carlo Krug, Tom, Paul and HerrSchneider was performing the furniture mixed down on the club PA by Thomas “sternchen” Stern.
This Video has been made to introduce the gig and the idea of the karrussell. In the end it was not the way as we expected it, but as Tom said in this “part 1“: “Its the nature of an experiment that it may fail” ..what was quite wise. Carlo stated “Less is mostly more”, but HerrSchneider confirmed that “we had some fun”, even after loads of work with it.
The Karrussell will be in use again now: HerrSchneider takes it to some venues and festivals over europe to perform some kind of sound and workshop again:
Vienna, Moozak Festival: 18./19. September
Munich, DigitalAnalog: 11./12. October
and Cologne, Synthesizer days inside Music Store: 15./16. October,
then back home to Berlin.
Towards new adventures we finally gave up the London showroom that we called the “testsalon” inside Rough Trade East.
After our friend Martin made it for awhile and finally Simon Lynch held a few brilliant workshops for newbees and runaways there – we thought its enough for now and time for a change again.
So please dont be sad once you dont see the nicely enlightened cabin there anymore, other new places will pop up soon. Heres some London videos on what we did there once and heres the video on what we will do with all the modules right now..
(further news to follow up soon).
