5HE DESKTOP CASE

Moon Modular introduced a desktop casing series to hold one of their sequencers and one or two accessory modules to be played on a table or so. In addition they now make audio modules such as an oscillator, a filter with VCA and probably even more soon. Good looking big rack stuff and a good quality, just sad that there is just americans on five rackspace – mostly.

Loud Button

A remake of an old prominent Roland Phaser FX unit was presented by newbee Loud Button – a nice guy introducing his very little effect series in a high quality. He gave us a look into his handwork down in Hall E – smart. If we once do more pedals again we will take some.

Tubes again..

Eric Barbour alias Metasonix complained about the americans who often dont like his way to promote his products – so the new version of a tubesynth is just called S-2000 having no additional name as the earlier wretchmachine.

The cheapest metasonix product ever has now been released as the F-1, a tube distortion pedal. We brought some of them to get them reviewed asap.

The unbelievable I-cunt (no pic here) was an exclusive deal with our american colluege analogue haven alias shawn c. who probably was quite proud on having such a peversive looking unit in stock for just his own.  Because we could not check the difference, I would say the F-1 is probably better and most probably much cheaper!

Scott Jaeger alias the Harvestman had the most tatoos visible on the Analogue haven booth if I remember this right.
Being one of the very few gentlemen with no beard this year, he did inform us, that his production scale /waiting time for modules will be much shorter in the very near future. We had a nice chat there and hope the best.

With  a dronebank, the wow-and-flutter module and two more things now Dan Snazzelle alias Snazzy FX enters the modular market too. His products are mostly colored so far and he is a special guy too, but very nice. We have been chatting some time about his modular visions and will go ahead selling the new stuff now.

Boomstar brothers

Studio electronics Boomstar will be coming in different versions. The inventors Marc and Greg St. Regis showed the Arp Filter model and the 303 Version on the show. We will have first models around april.

NAMM IS DONE..

.. and we are gone. Back in europe we had to calm down a bit, but here we are with further news about what has been going on there.

Pittsburgh People

Richard Nicol, the man behind Pittsburgh modular surprised us a lot with his brilliant ideas for small affordable  starter systems and of course his very friendly aura.

As with many others we had a positive meeting with him and are looking forward to a long-term partnership with Pittsburgh Modular.

MAKE NOISE

Tony and Kelly alias Make Noise presented a few new interesting modules such as the new multimode gate MMG – really good -, a very unique mixer module and a physical modeling prototype .. and of course the new half of a maths called function.

Pittsburgh Systems

For quite affordable money Pittsburgh Modular is offering different cases now, that we will get on board for sure, they look good and include some complete systems to get started with very well.

PUSH THE TUBES..

Eric Barbour alias Metasonix introduced his S-2000 – a “low budged”-wretch machine and the tube fuzz pedal F-1, we directly bought a few of these to keep him off a private disaster, place your reservations now !!

Studio electronics Boomstar

In the garage behind the house studio electronics presented their Boomstar as “ready quite soon now” the day before the show! We was very impressed by the amazing, fat and flexible classic synth sound with all those nice features that we know already from their polyphonic CODE and a lot more new features. Now we are awaiting the first shipment towards our Frankfurt show in April.
Marc St. Regis was introducing two out of three final models on the NAMM today; they has been mounted up the day before by his brother Gred St. Regis (on the pic).

Synthetic Sound Labs

We met Doug Slocum alias Synthetic Sound Labs who makes the outstanding modulation orgy eurorack module. He is perfoming a modified minimoog that he made for Tom Koppola decades ago now owned and displayed for the moog foundation – nice guy.

WE RE ON NAMM..

Andreas Schneider and Paul Schulz left Berlin towards the NAMM show in Anaheim to meet up our suppliers called Tom Oberheim or Richard Nicol alias Pittsburgh modular. We will let you know here, what has been going on.

Oriental NEWS..

For the Haken Continuum there is a new set of sounds available by Edmund Eagon now, here are some samples. It seems like they will be coming over to Musikmesse 2013 to show off their amazing instrument in combination with their idea of a modular continuum sound machine !

Alyseum starting ..

Now ALYSEUM is introducing their follow up of an interface  called MS-4 taking midi and CVs into the copperLAN network. Together with the existing Alyseum MS812 giving out CVs from your existing computer network in the studio it is on the way to make Midi a modern way of communication again. Production will take a bit still, but theres a bunch of alyseum products available already to get started !!

FOR DIY GEEKS..

Befaco DIY now announced anther workshop in Berlin for january the 13th/14th. It will be an intensive weekend of soldering and learning for non experienced DIY actors in a location next to the RAW.

HALF OF MATHS

Make Noise released a smaller version of their well known module Maths now – called FUNCTION. It includes a sample&hold output and will be sold in the US for 165 Dollar. We hope to get a first bunch of them in quite soon, preorders per mail can be made now, in a few days the product FUNCTION can be found in our webshop too.

FROHES NEUES JA ..

Wishing you a happy new year we are busy trying to catch up with all your questions and orders we found today in our mails. It will take a few days to get it all done because we are starting with a new software in SchneidersLaden now. This must also excuse the lack of showroom action within this week.

So If you want to visit our showroom, please forgive us if we dont let you in before monday, 7th / next week again. We need a few days to understand again how the system works and .. we try to ship all backorders asap.  so.. please go ahead making good music on your hardware that probably works fine? .. and have a good time!
